‘Seeking Thrills’ by Georgia is a powerhouse of sophisticated post-dance, house and pop. Georgia has been influenced by an amalgam of musical genres and is clearly well versed in all of them. The opening three tracks ‘Started Out’, ‘About Work The Dancefloor’ & ‘Never Let You Go’ are stonking tunes which wouldn’t have been out of place in any club over the last 30 years, alongside a consistent 80’s electronica and pop sound throughout the album, it makes you wonder what would have happened if Giorgio Moroder had produced a Kate Bush album.
‘Mellow’, ‘Ray Guns’ & ‘Feel It’ channel sounds of M.I.A, funky, deep beats overlaid with music swagger. ‘Till I Own It’ and ‘Ultimate Sailor’ have an innocent vocal slow pop sensibility.
The whole album plays like one big dance party!
